This is my favorite magazine, and Im really glad that I can get a digital version. My only complaint is that the archive doesnt go far back enough. I would like to be able to buy older magazines.

This is an easy to use, easy to navigate app that makes material available earlier than I can find it on the newsstand. Whats not to like?
I would have preferred this over hardcopy except for one critical detail: you cannot read it offline. The purpose of of this was to get in some reading during my commute underground. This is why I switched from a Nexus to iPad and Im back to this nonsense. Probably the first & last issue I buy for now.
It would be great if issues Ive downloaded didnt keep disappearing from my iPad, causing me to have to waste time re-downloading them.
This review is specifically for the app - not the content. Fans of DWM will appreciate the content, and if you live on the wrong side of the pond, a digital sub is a much easier way to get your DWM fix. However, even if you sub with this app, you dont have access to your new magazines! Deleting the app, reinstalling, and restoring purchases does nothing to solve the problem. Several other reviewers are also having this problem so its something that needs to be addressed ASAP.
Gotta love it! If I ever get an iPad, this will be one of my favorite apps.
I used to wait more than a month to buy each issue of the magazine at local stores. Now, the App makes each issue available on same day as UK release! And at a much reduced price! Buying this App was about the smartest thing Ive ever done as a fan of Doctor Who, the best show on television. But I cant give the app a full 5-star rating because it doesnt take advantage of the interactive capacities of the digital magazine format. What we get are straight reproductions of the pages of the print magazine - with zoom, obviously the most necessary tool - and thats perhaps all any Whovian needs. But I still wish there was some interactive content to take fuller advantage of the digital medium.
Theres no iPhone layout so the type is illegible on the phone. Also it bugged me to rate it the second time I opened it. Here you go!
...AND its available on mobile devices? Whats NOT to love?!?
The content is great and has been getting better every year since I started reading it in 1982. I used to have to wait weeks for an issue in the U.S. and although it was good reading the news aspects were old. Then came this digital version, releasing issues on the same day in the U.S. as the UK. Incredible! (My joy was actually printed in the letter column of one of the first issues). The reason it is not five stars is because the quality of the reproduction is readable but not very good. Actually sometimes pictures and comics when blown up slightly can become a blur. I subscribe to Entertainment Weekly and I can blow it up all I want with the picture remaining crystal clear. I will subscribe to this until I die but I will not change my rating to 5 until the app works and appears better. (No links either like other magazines have). Still I love it!!!!
I was really looking forward to getting this app so I could finally have access to DWM, as subscribing to a print subscription is way too expensive for me. I was VERY disappointed when I downloaded my sample copy and saw that it is not easily readable on the iPhone, even though this is supposedly the iPhone/iPad edition. So I still wont be subscribing. Too expensive for a magazine I need to struggle to read. When you update to a view that is iPhone compatible, I will re- consider.
I bought my iPad so that I could subscribe to DWM. It was the only way I could find to subscribe from the United States. Ive thoroughly enjoyed the magazine and the app! Its made the purchase of my iPad completely worth it!
The magazine in digital format has an excellent layout, good scope of content and always has something to delight both Classic and NuWho fans. I look forward to it arriving each month!
I love that I can get Doctor a who Magazine they say its released in the UK. What would improve the experience is the ability to view a library of my purchases instead of having to sift through a list of all the issues.
Love DWM, but this app, like all magazine apps for iOS, is terrible. All I want is to be able to read the cover and table of contents to decide if I want to purchase the magazine. Unfortunately you can not scale the view and the text is too small. Apple needs to fix this ASAP. Forget a new iPad and FIX THIS APP!
Bought an issue for the comic on my iPhone, but the image resolution they created the issue as is so bad that its impossible to read it. Wish I could get my money back.
Ive loved Doctor Who Magazine for years, and this electronic version is perfect. It has super high quality scans that look wonderful on my iPad Pro. Keep up the good work. ---Kelvington
Its a good app for someone who wants to get the magazine.
I like the digital access to the magazine, but the app is hardly intuitive. I wish theyd take a hint from Comixology, making purchases more intuitive, and allowing navigation between pages with a tap on one side of the screen instead of a full swipe.
